Account of the Native Africans in the Neighbourhood of Sierra Leone

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The following attempt to sketch a history of the present state of medicine among the natives of Africa, and to give some account of those diseases to which they are more peculiarly liable, was undertaken during the calamitous and distressed state to which the colony of Sierra Leone was reduced, in consequence of the depredations committed there by the French, in the year 1794.
