Covering topics such as carbohydrate and lipid metabolism disorders, amino acid catabolism, hepatic and renal metabolism, mitochondrial dysfunction, pediatric obesity, and diagnostic approaches, this book will serve as a requisite resource for researchers, clinicians, and students alike looking for unravel the biochemical intricacies of metabolic disorders. - Provides comprehensive coverage of various aspects of metabolic disorders, including carbohydrate and lipid metabolism disorders and amino acid metabolism disorders - Offers detailed molecular insight into the biochemical mechanisms and/or pathways involved in metabolic disorders, helping readers understand the underlying mechanisms driving disease pathogenesis - Includes diagnostic algorithms and therapeutic approaches, enabling readers to apply biochemical knowledge to real-world clinical scenarios

Dr. Akash is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. He got his PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis from Zhejiang University, China. Currently, he is focusing on investigating the effect of endocrine disruptingchemicals on various molecular and metabolic pathways that are involved in metabolic disorders and their treatment strategies. His research work is cutting-edge and worthy of extension in developing countries, like Pakistan, where it can be most beneficial and cost-effective, especially for diabetic patients. Based on his significant scientific contributions inthe field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, he has been awarded 'Research Productivity Awards” from the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, the PAS Gold Medal from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and the A.R. Shakoori Gold Medal from the Zoological Society of Pakistan.
