Clinical Use of Immunoglobulins

Immunoglobulins play an essential role in the human immune system. Therapeutic immunoglobulin truly represents a global resource and the web connecting clinical research, basic research, manufacturing and advocacy truly span the globe. Now five years have passed since the first English edition of 'Clinical Use of Immunoglobulins'. Much progress has occurred in the field over that time: new clinical indications, new efficacy and outcome data, novel insights into mechanisms of action and new preparations of therapeutic immunoglobulin. This new 2nd edition features two entirely new chapters one covering the adverse effects of immunoglobulin therapy (Chapter 3) and a second covering dermatologic diseases (Chapter 16). All previous topics are included and have been updated. In aggregate, the volume provides comprehensive perspective on therapeutic immunoglobulin.
