First steps in EVAR - a clinical guide

In view of the highly promising long-term results, exclusion of an aneurysm by implantation of a stent graft is now a firm part of the therapeutic armamentarium. As a result of constant improvements in technique and methods, even complex aortic diseases can now either be treated using a purely endovascular approach or as part of hybrid procedures combining both open and endovascular surgery. This textbook has been compiled by an endovascular specialist and vascular surgeon for vascular surgeons interested in endovascular procedures and thus fills a gap in the established textbooks. It provides a comprehensive review of the subject. Special importance is given to the infrastructure needed for stent grafting.
