Microscopic Colitis

The term microscopic colitis encompasses the conditions collagenous and lymphocytic colitis, which also fall under the heading of the watery diarrhoea syndrome. This description relates to the cardinal clinical symptom of both diseases. The revised new edition of this monograph was necessary given recently published data and thus takes account of the increasing interest in microscopic colitis.
