English for Medical Sciences is an ideal course book for pre-intermediate to advanced pre-work students of medicine, pharmacy, public health, nursing, and physiotherapy, who will need to use English at work. It is also suitable for doctors and other health specialists, who either plan to work in an English-speaking environment or wish to develop their English for Specific Purposes (ESP) skills. The book focuses on real-world language used to talk about human body anatomy and physiology as well as the one essential in daily medical, pharmaceutical, and paramedical practice. Having completed the course students will gain competencies enabling them to communicate effectively in professional contexts. In compiling the book the authors have applied their experience as ESP teachers at Poznan University of Medical Sciences.
